Live Bboy Performance; In-Depth Post #6

That’s right, I saw my very first live bboy performance over spring break. At Universal Studios Orlando, Street Breakz Crew was performing, and MY GOD was the performance cheesy. And racist. However, among its racist cheesiness is some pretty mad skill, if you ask me.

As it is, the video I took of them is 5% loaded onto Youtube with a whopping 1425 minutes to go. Needless to say, I’m not even gonna bother. Here’s a pre-uploaded video of them.

-Is proud to be able to name 90% of the moves they did-

Anyways, some updates on my own improvement. How has my breaking improved over Spring Break? (Heh….Spring Break…) Well, seeing as how I was away for pretty much the whole 2 weeks, I didn’t get much practice in. However, yesterday we had an intense freestyling class where our instructor challenged us to invent new combos and such. I was at a disadvantage, as I was the latest addition to the class and had the least amount of experience and knew the least amount of moves. However, that didn’t stop me from thinking up a few sick combos for myself!

As of today, my pinky toe’s really acting up. I banged it on the Friday before Spring Break, but it hasn’t given me any trouble until now. It’s really swollen, but hope it’s not infected….

-Insert video that I’ll film later here-

Fun fact: In case you were wondering, “biters” are bboys or bgirls who copy moves from watching others, although I’ve heard the term being used as an insult as well. People accuse others of being a biter all the time. The tension only escalates when the accused denies this charge :P
